I LOVE dancing. I cant even explain how happy I feel when I dance. I come from a family where my sister, mom and I have grown up dancing in the kitchen to random songs ever played from oldies to pop to really booty bouncin' trap music. I kid you not, dancing in the kitchen while doing chores or even in front of the mirror is a huge workout! I could hit a whole playlist of my booty bouncing songs and I've already sweat half the pacific ocean and didn't even realize it because I was having SO much fun! Whether your with your friends, boyfriend, husband, family or kids...grab them and just start dancing. I remember one night on my birthday, my mom asked if we wanted to go out and just dance and I was like uh yeah lets go! Super spontaneous night to say the least...but we ended up going to some random club in Fresno and just stole that dance floor. All I wanted to do was JUST DANCE! And that's what we did, my sister, mom and me. I swear the DJ knew we liked to dance to classic songs because he started playing Michael Jackson and we were just on it. On my wedding night, since my husband and father aren't too fond of dancing (they can totes dance they are just shy)… I decided to have a mother and daughter dance instead since my aunties and I like to get down. BEST NIGHT EVER. Words cant describe how fun that was to change it up a bit and just break the boundaries from the norm "father and daughter" dance. "Back it up" by Prince Royce was the wedding song we danced to and let me tell you, that was a fun song to get down to. Just dance like no one is watching, and who cares if anyone is watching. Just let loose, be yourself and have fun :)
HOW POLYNESIAN DANCING WON MY LEGS
This type of dance has a lot of hips, a lot of swaying and a lot of knee strengthening. Me and my sister did Polynesian dance for a while back in our middle school years and boy does it KILL your legs! It's such a leg and booty workout and totally fun when practicing with a group of friends at events and shows. You get a group of people going and you have yourself a little luau class! Growing up I really wish I stuck with it throughout the years, but I am grateful to have learned it and to dance and teach it on my free time with family, friends and church functions.
